Golf Physio and Performance FAQs
Everything golfers ask Kam about physio, screening, coaching and booking in Sydney.
Getting Started
How do I book an appointment?
Call 0423 800 414 or fill in the enquiry form on the contact page, and Kam will arrange a time that suits you.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed to book a physiotherapy assessment. If you are claiming through certain insurers or schemes, a referral may help, so check with your provider.
Which location should I choose?
Choose whichever is easier for you. Kam offers the full range of services at both Coogee Physio and The Australian Golf Club.
Do you offer online coaching?
Physio Fore Golf is in person in Sydney. Get in touch to discuss what is possible for your situation.
Injuries and Physiotherapy
What golf injuries do you treat?
Kam treats the full range of golf injuries, including golfer's elbow, lower back pain, wrist and thumb pain, and shoulder issues. Most are overuse injuries linked to how you move and load the club.
Can I keep playing golf while I rehab?
Often yes, with some adjustments. Part of the assessment is working out what load your body can handle right now so you can keep playing where it is safe.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the injury and how long it has been there. Many golfers feel a clear shift within the first few sessions, with a plan to keep progressing between visits.
Performance and Screening
Do I need to be injured to get screened?
No. Most golfers who screen are not injured, they just want more distance and fewer niggles. Screening is as much about performance as prevention.
Will strength training make me stiff or slow?
No, when it is programmed properly. Golf-specific training builds strength while protecting and often improving mobility and speed.
I am older, is it too late to start?
It is never too late. Strength and power are trainable at any age, and older golfers often see the biggest gains in durability and distance.
Still have a question? The quickest way to get an answer is to call Kam directly, or send an enquiry and he will get back to you.
